DO I ARRANGE MY OWN FLIGHTS?

Yes. We recommend checking on Google Flights or SkyScanner and setting a notification to check into prices. We can also recommend a travel agent to help.

CAN I COME ALONE?

Yes! Solo travel can be daunting and scary but it is also an opportunity to learn so much about yourself. And, you can guarantee you will create long lasting friendships at the retreat. You can book your own room or double up with another solo traveler. Please, if youre thinking about coming solo take the leap, it will be the best thing you ever do.

WHAT IF I WANT TO ARRIVE EARLY OR LEAVE LATER?

We HIGHLY recommend arriving early or staying for another week at least after to immerse yourself in this beautiful island and also to allow yourself to adjust to jet lag. Also, a special opportunity lies only 2 days after the retreat ends. It is the Balinese New Year on March 29th in 2025-called Nyepi. There is an incredible parade on the 28th and the 29th is a day of quiet and reflection, where everything is closed in Bali, there is no electricity and everyone stays home to meditate. Alanna has had the privilege to be in Bali during this incredible cultural celebration and it was a memory she cherishes to this day. We will happily recommend villas, resorts and experiences to add to your trip. There are several outlying islands you can visit for some beach time, snorkeling, diving or surfing and also quiet, Northern areas where you can hike and get away from the tourist centers and see many volcanoes and temples. Feel free to reach out to Alanna for some recommendations on what else to see and where to stay in Bali.

Plus, consider visiting neighboring countries like Australia or, visit Debbie’s studio and the ancient temples in Cambodia.

WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE IN BALI LIKE IN MARCH?

March is the end of the rainy season in Bali, but not quite yet the busy season and not the hottest month. Expect the weather to be hot and humid with the occasional short monsoon rainshower followed by sparkling sunshine!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

We will send you a comprehensive list of what to bring. Mostly just be prepared to dress for hot weather with several changes of dance clothes because it will be sweaty!

The Fine Print

CANCELATION POLICY

The deposit is not refundable after October 15th 2024.

If the balance has been paid but the participant needs to cancel for any reason, a refund will only be given if we fill the space less a 15% fee. In the event of non-compliance with the payment deadlines by the traveler within the maximum period, it will be understood that the reservation has been canceled by the traveler and the spaces and services corresponding to said reservation will be available.

For refunds for payments made through PayPal and other digital platforms there is a commission of 3.5%, this value will be discounted, as will the value of the transaction if it is refundable. There will be no refunds for arriving late or leaving early.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In the event of travel closures, Bali Dance & Wellness Retreat will not issue refunds and the retreat date will be moved until reopening. We do our very best to include all scheduled activities in our time together but occasionally things happen that are out of our control. Should such a situation occur we will do our best to replace the activity with another. In the event of disrespectful behavior, at the sole discretion of the retreat organisers, participants will be asked to leave the venue immediately with no indemnity or refunds, Should you choose to leave the retreat at any point, no refunds will be available.

DOCUMENTS

Each person attending the trip must be responsible for all necessary travel documents.

It is mandatory that you have travel insurance.

VISA + TOURIST LEVY

Your passport must be valid for more than 6 months and your visa has a value of approximately $35 USD. We highly recommend applying for your VISA online in advance. Depending on which country you are from, you may need to provide further documentation. The online application is straightforward and it makes arriving in Indonesia very smooth. Bali Dance and Wellness Retreat and the associated retreat leaders are not responsible for any accident, theft or loss during the retreat.

There may be changes in the date due to epidemics, illnesses in the guides or some force majeure problem or circumstance. In addition, you will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival.
